Matt’s linocutting class at Curwen Print Study Centre
Matt was able to go to the Curwen Print Study Centre as a pupil this time and got to learn more about linoprinting. The instructor took the class through the process and different tools used to create beautiful imagery using traditional methods and original presses. Check out Matt’s work below! Looking forward to what he’ll create next…
Define Day: Volunteering at Denny Abbey and The Farmland Museum
We had a wonderful time volunteering at Denny Abbey last month. It was an enriching day where we helped get the historic site ready for its Spring reopening. It was great to get away from our screens for a day with dusters and brushes as we worked our way through the centuries-old rooms, carefully cleaning and tidying to preserve the charm and character of the place. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Business Buzz Marketing: Saffron Walden
It was a big month for networking at Define Creative! To kick things off, I went to my first in-person networking event at the lovely Zafferano Lounge in Saffron Walden. It was a really enriching experience and great to meet people from the area. I forgot to take any pictures, (we were too busy chatting!) but will be sure to try and make it to the next and snap some good shots.
Relax Networking Night
A slightly different event to the usual, Matt attended The Cambridge Connector’s Relaxed Social Based Networking Event. The purpose of the event was to break the norms of stereotypical networking and create an environment for purposeful conversations as opposed to “forced small talk” and “business card spiels”. It’s safe to say that The Cambridge Connector (Lucy Colson) delivered on their promise. It was a great opportunity to unwind after work with like-minded people in the area.
The Marketing Meetup
Matt was busy making even more connections at The Marketing Meetup and in Cambridge. Here, he listened to a great talk from Hannah at Well I Never on curiosity and how to be more curious at work. It was a great turnout with lots of familiar but also new faces. Let us know if you’ll be at the next.
PUB Networking
Matt attended yet another lively networking event! The highlight of the evening was an engaging talk on the importance of copywriting from Ellie Senior and the value it adds to your email newsletters, which offered fresh insight into why they're still one of the most powerful tools for building an audience and driving engagement. Surrounded by like-minded professionals, Matt connected with several new contacts, exchanged ideas and enjoyed the general buzz of the room. Matt unfortunately showed his age by not being able to name a single song from the 80s.
Jordan had the pleasure of meeting new homeowners Jay and Lena and spoke to them about their experiences moving from Hong Kong to Cranleigh. Their warmth and joy was captured by Jordan in the video, where he was also tasked with adding in Cantonese subtitles. In case you were wondering, no, he does not speak Cantonese, but with the help of some technology and his exceptional editing skills, he was able to ensure everything was correctly translated and subtitled! It was a really great experience for us to be able to learn about other cultures and bring that to life in our work. You can check out the full version below:

Agreena hosted a brilliant event at Somerset House in London with the purpose of “Uniting farmers with sustainability leaders”. We had the pleasure of capturing the event which had a combination of exhibitions, talks and opportunities for discussion on the impact of regenerative agriculture on supply chains.

And that's everything for this month - keep an eye out to see what we get up to in April soon!
