Back in July 2025, we visited Curwen Print Study Centre to film a promotional video to help them share their message and keep the art of fine art printmaking alive. Between Matt’s art & design background and Jordan’s fascination for history, we were enthralled by this place. There were so many stories floating around, none of them alike, yet all centred around a single shared point: the Curwen.

Students are taking their first step into artistic expression; other young artists are starting their careers through exhibiting at Curwen; others have lived a whole life in an unrelated career and want to retire that side of themselves and find solace in creativity.

We wanted to pick the right story to showcase what we saw at the Curwen and find the right tone to allow a variety of different audiences to enjoy the show we’re looking to create. It’s been some time in the making, and plenty of things have paused us on the way.

But we’re happy to know the filming is complete; helped by Jack and his passion for documentary filmmaking, we’re now at the exciting stage of pulling the story together in the edit.
Back to Silverstone for something a little different this time. In May 2022, Jordan and Matt visited The Williams F1 Headquarters in Grove to capture some content for a partnering technology supplier. Ironically and unrelated to this, two months later we were invited to the F1’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone to capture imagery for Project21 and their performance on Saturday ahead of the qualifying session.
We were thrilled to have worked in and around F1 on two separate projects, and as we’re not directly looking for Motorsport-related projects, we’d not have thought we’d make it back to Silverstone anytime soon.
Cut to today, cloudy England off the back of an epic heatwave… ‘Jordan…want to come capture some aerial footage with that there drone of yours?’ said a familiar voice on the phone. ‘Well yeah, but what’s the job?’ Jordan replied. ‘It’s for a little-known venue called Silverstone British Racing Circuit, heard of it?’ ‘We’ll see you there’ Jordan slams down his phone…’ Define… We’re going to Silverstone again!’*
*This event happened; however, the content and delivery format have all been altered for dramatic effect. Matt can’t remember but needed something to add here for the update. It may have actually been over WhatsApp, probably why Matt didn’t know what was said.
We captured the footage you see here of the go-karting track and a fair few kartists whizzing round. I hope they all brought their driving moccasins; it’s going to be a long day if not. Anyway, Jordan took to the skies and captured some fantastic footage, my favourite being the top-down follow-through shot around the hairpin corner.

There was also a one-take, and one take only scenario which was achieved with great success (some of the key aspects outlined in the above image, right side); however, we’ll go into more detail about this in a future update…
For now, we’ll leave you with these behind-the-scenes insights from that day involving a huge battery. You heard that right.
In terms of kit, it's not what we feel should be the first thing you talk about. But in this instance, we thought it might be interesting to know how we'd keep the drone in the air for the longest time with mininal down time, over and over again.
With this setup, having a portable power bank allows us to cycle through batteries whilst always keeping one fully charged, one charging and the other in the air. The rapid charging means it can charge the next battery whilst the drone is in the air, ready to replace it once the flying battery is depleted of its charge. Why this gets an honourable mention from us is in times gone by you may have had a limited amount of batteries, meaning a limited amount of time in the air and a pressure to get the shot(s) you need making decisions and compromises you woulden't had you not had those limitations. Well, that's a thing of the past.
It also means you can be super helpful to anybody else on set who may have left the phone run dead, or needs a slurp of juice to keep their tech going. Making you everybody's best friend on set.

*Not literally, but for this use case essentially the next best thing.
It’s not very often we get to get out of the office on a day trip to go and see what we’ve worked on out in the real world. So when going to see the ad campaign we created video content for for Visit South Cambs was being displayed at London’s King's Cross St Pancras, we grabbed the cameras and hopped on a train to see for ourselves… and we were not disappointed.
Multiple digital boards across the whole of St Pancras featured our work, even a tunnel of 20+ boards showing the video ad on multiple displays at once. Nothing short of surreal, and very proud to have been a part of championing our regional slice of life.

We go into a lot of the boring but important stuff that goes on behind the scenes when working with actors, children, in public spaces and more.

There’s a point where a single videographer and one camera shoot turns into something a bit more collaborative and exciting.
I’m not sure if that tipping point is professional models or actors on set, if it’s having a dedicated lighting technician or perhaps when you’ve also got the client, a photographer and a behind-the-scenes videographer to capture the moment. Either way, this was one of those shoots. So much collaboration, shared experiences and industry knowledge coming from everybody who was on set. We know teamwork makes the dream work is a bit of a cliché now, but it really comes into its own on a shoot like this.
For what was slightly less than a day's shoot, the content captured was quite phenomenal. Plenty of scenes following both the couple and the family in their own scenarios in and out of the property. As well as behind-the-scenes footage which can be compiled into a longer-form documentary as well as cut down into multiple 30-60s shorts for socials like YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.

For us, these kinds of shoots provide a good balance between professional cinematic video content for client-side marketing as well as more natural and relatable behind-the-scenes content for social media marketing.
And we’re leaving the most important part until last. The amount of fun had on this shoot was really up there. It’s probably a factor that gets cognitively omitted when it comes to deciding if a shoot went well or not – but I'd disagree. The efficiency of a team who have had fun, feel like they can contribute in a meaningful way, and genuinely have a laugh doing it really makes the best work.

Knowing a product is easy to use, and setup is critical when considering changing your daily workflows, especially in science settings. This is a key reason why CN Bio wanted to create an unboxing mini-series to show off the setup and use of their PhysioMimix® Core System.
Supporting CN Bio, we produced an 8-episode series from unboxing to end-to-end use of the system and even scaling the PhysioMimix® Core System workflow into your laboratory.
Working alongside CN Bio the key aspects we produced and delivered included:

We loved capturing this university summer party at The Old Hall Ely. The transition from day to night made this extra special to film, creating a fantastic opportunity to capture the sunset and fire-breathing in the best light.

A video brief should be concise and easily digestible, typically 1 to 3 pages depending on project complexity. The goal is to provide absolute clarity without overwhelming the production team with unnecessary information. Using structured templates with fillable fields keeps briefs focused and easy to execute.
An event video brief focuses heavily on live-environment logistics and technical specifications. Unlike studio or commercial shoots, event briefs must outline run-of-show schedules, key speaker priorities, venue access times, on-site gear storage, and technical audio feeds (such as taking an XLR line out from the venue soundboard).
Yes. Providing an estimated budget range (e.g., £3,000–£5,000) allows production agencies to present creative options, crew sizes, and equipment setups that realistically fit within your financial boundaries. If you prefer flexibility, sharing a ballpark figure helps your video team maximise production value without over-or under-scoping the project.
A video brief is a structured document outlining the objectives, target audience, budget, deliverables, and creative direction for a video project. Creating a brief upfront ensures internal stakeholders and external production teams are fully aligned on project goals, preventing costly revisions, scope creep, and approval delays during production.
